This is a video I made for the communication department at Houghton College.

Again, not wanting to get into a habit of posting “professional” work on my vlog – but hey- I went to school here. I believe in what they do! Also- it’s taken me a good year to get around to finishing it- so it’s an accomplishment.

This highlights what some Houghton Alumni are doing on the West Side of Buffalo. I made it for Houghton College to show at Love-Mercy-Baltimore, the big Wesleyan youth conference this year. Houghton will also be using it for various other promotional stuff.

I typically don’t post “professional” work here, but I really care about this video because I am a Houghton alum who is serving in Buffalo. These are the people I live and serve with, and they are doing good work throughout the city. We are all continuing our education together as we learn what it is like to serve.

I went shooting today with a friend. We intended to film people windsurfing but the windsurfers were gone by the time we got there. It was a gloomy day in Buffalo to say the least.

So this summer I’ve been working for a sound company and I have to say I love my job. It has its ups and downs like anything but at the end of the day its awesome. Somedays we know its going to be rough. This weekend half of our crew was running on no sleep for over 24 hrs and the other half averaged around 2hrs when we had to set up for the next show. We were out in the middle of a field and the day started when our semi full of sound equipment got stuck and we had to do a truck to truck transfer to even get gear to stage (we still started on time).

We could have done without the E1 (I have no idea what that means-but thats what the news says) hurricane that passed through. This shot is of our LD Yogi holding a tent down after it cleared up enough for me to take a hand of the tarp I was protecting a soundboard with.
