A time consuming and often tedious part of the video editing process is logging and capturing individual editable clips in Final Cut Pro. Capturing the entire tape as one clip is easy, but that makes cutting the captured footage into smaller clips useful in editing difficult. But not if you use Final Cut Pro’s Start/Stop Detect feature.

Uh. so this is pretty ridiculous. Been helping run a “media geek camp” this week. Tired.
